Dexter von Dunau is a beautiful 6 year old German Shepherd.  Despite being neglected for far too long, darling Dex is that storybook handsome prince, one who is affectionate and longs for human kindness. He loves being outside and exploring, is an excellent walker, and is curious about so many things in the world. Dexter would like you to know that he loves to play with tennis balls, so get ready to toss a few his way! When in playgroups, discerning Dexter enjoys the company of female canines in particular, as well as nicely behaved male dogs, but largely prefers to do his own thing and hang out with humans.  We do recommend an introduction to any dog currently in your pack, so Dexter can figure out his place. Dexter’s life prospects were once dim, but now he has a chance to turn that around. All this dear boy needs is an owner who is patient and believes in him, and in happily ever after. Just don’t forget the tennis balls!
Please note: Dexter has a complicated auto immune disease which will require expensive medication for life. He can be with a very submissive female in his new home but otherwise no dogs!
